Synopsis
- A look at Latvian filmmaking situation back in 1998. Is a Latvian film competitive to a Hollywood product? Should a potential participant of European Community have its own national cinematography? Can cinematography survive on the trivial share in the country's budget allotted to cultural needs? Uneasy questions like these are being put to officials, authorities, society, and filmmakers in the film about films. At the same time it is also an attractive and humorous story about the present film industry, about the legends and myths of the Latvian cinema. About a small country's urgent problems of film industry under pos-socialism. It is a story about the films to become as well.
