Synopsis
- The author is often travelling from Zurich to the territories around the Apuan Alps. She is interested in stories of resistance and their protagonists.
In Carrara, the city of the white marble, the first of May is celebrated in the local anarchist tradition, what is also traced back to the insurrections of 1894.
Already in the times of the Roman conquerors the Apuan People would have resisted against the invadors like wolves.
Anarchist and communist partisans tell about the battle against the National Socialists and the Italien fascists; an episode is dedicated to the civil resistance by women.
Also today there are resistive places like the occupied social centre R.D.A. Mayday.
And in the woods around the Apuan Alps should live insurgent gremlins...
